Hey ya'll! My name is Amanda Jackson, and I have been an outdoor lover all my life! I was born and raised in the North Carolina mountains, and I love it here so much I never left!
When it comes to hunting, my dad has been my biggest influence and supporter. He took me fishing for the first time when I was 5 years old, and hunting when I was 18. He's always made sure that I knew I could do anything I set my mind to, even if it was considered to be a "male" activity. When I hunt, I always go with my Dad, he is my hunting buddy and has taught me everything I know. It's always been more than just hunting, it's quality time with my dad and I cherish these times we spend together.
I am married to the love of my life and we have 2 adorable boys. My husband isn't interested in deer hunting, but will occasionally go rabbit hunting, and we love to go fishing together. My husband is proud of my hunting abilities, and he likes to brag that I can hunt it, kill it, clean it and cook it!
I am currently a stay-at-home mom, but I also own/operate a sewing business, SewShine Creations. I have worked in veterinarian offices in the past, and might return to the field once my boys are older. Besides hunting and fishing, I enjoy cooking meals for my family, reading books, and going hiking.
